You already know I love her. And I love this headpiece.

“Street Style” is one of my favorite aspects of the industry. I jump at the opportunity to search Rittenhouse Square, South Street, and Northern Liberties for creative souls, who opted out of the normal Philly uniform (sweatpants, white tees, and other ill-fitting garments capable of producing camel toes and muffin tops). For those of you who might not know, it’s okay to get out of your pajamas to run errands. It’s okay to wear heels when you’re not going clubbing. It’s okay to get….dressed.
It’s now possible (with much thanks to sites like Lookbook.nu, Chictopia, The Facehunter, and The Sartorialist) to gain outfit inspiration from something other than glossies insisting we buy $1600 t-shirts (yeah Balmain, I’m looking at you). These are real people, who put their pants on one leg at a time, just like the rest of us. If they can put these looks together after a morning shower and a grande caramel macchiato, so can we! Here are a few street style shots I’ve recently thrown into the inspiration folder on my desktop:
M.I.A. is both a style and music genius. I would die to spend a day sifting through her vibrant wardrobe, while listening to Galang and Boyz on repeat. Here’s images from her latest feature in Nylon Magazine’s music issue.
